The Academy of Recreational Technologies and Law is one of the modern universities in Volyn region, founded on June 5, 2014. In spite of its young age, the Academy took an honourable place among the leading higher education institutions of Ukraine.
Since the establishment of the Academy, over 3000 graduates received state standard diplomas thanks to the fruitful cooperation of lecturers and students. The graduation ceremonies take place every year in January and July and the best graduates are awarded.
Alumni of the Academy hold prominent positions in governmental institutions, in various organizations, enterprises and private companies in Volyn region, Ukraine and abroad. Among the graduates of the Academy there is a number of high-ranking managers, successful entrepreneurs, deputies, famous athletes, leading lawyers and highly qualified specialists.
Academy of Recreational Technologies and Law is an educational institution open to young people with different levels of education, differentiated social opportunities and different health conditions. At the initiative of the leadership of Academy, financial support is provided to talented students, children from low-income families, orphans and students with special needs. Significant support is provided to the Ukrainian military veterans and their children, outstanding students,, young scientists, athletes, active members of the student self-government, young talents, whose achievements contribute to the positive image of the academy.
At our Academy you can get a full- or a part-time training (with elements of distance learning):
– at educational and professional training programs for bachelors: “Information, Library and Archival Law”, “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)”, “Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy “, “Tourism”, “Law”, “Social Work”, “Finances, Banking and Insurance”;
– at educational and professional training programs for masters: “Education, Pedagogical Sciences”, “Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy”, “Physical Culture and Sports”.
Since the very foundation of the Academy a highly qualified teaching staff has been working hard to provide quality educational services. Teachers work is based on the model of integrative education, it combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills and implements the idea of quality education in a dynamic globalized world. The priority of international activity at present is the development of cooperation with foreign partners, such as the Janusz Korczak Higher Pedagogical School in Warsaw, Wielkopolska High School of Sociology and Economics in Sirodzin Wielkopolski, Terra Tours in Bulgaria, Glob Works in Turkey and others.
One of the important directions of activity of our educational institution is scientific work, the aim of which is to form a scientific worldview, comprehensive assistance to young researchers, mastering the methodology and methods of scientific research, implementation of the intellectual potential of the lecturers and students to increase creative initiative.
The highly professional and experienced teaching staff implements the most important mission of the Academy – the formation of the highest standards of educational and professional training of graduates, who would be competitive in the labour market.
Lecturers of the Academy conduct scientific research, identify new directions in the development of science, educate and enrich the students’ personalities through an educational system which meets world modern standards.
In the educational process we successfully and effectively combine the authority of experienced teachers with energy and creativity of young staff.
The results of scientific activity of the staff and students are reflected in their own scientific publications: “Modern wellness and rehabilitation technologies”, “Actual problems of theory, methodology and practice of social communications”, “Collection of scientific works of scientific and pedagogical staff and students of the Academy of Recreational Technologies and Law”, as well as in domestic and international scientific journals, authored by scientists from all regions of Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, the United States, China.
The best scientists of the Academy were awarded with state prizes for their great academic achievements, namely: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Roman Karpyuk and Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmila Stasiuk were awarded with Diplomas of the Parliament of Ukraine; PhD in Law, Professor Oleksandr Lytvyn was awarded with an Honorary Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Roman Karpyuk received an Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy; Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Roman Karpyuk and Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmila Stasiuk where awarded with the Badges of Honour “Distinguished Worker of the Ukrainian Education”; Head of the Human Recourses Department Lilya Nagurnyak and Deputy Head of the Department of Educational and Scientific work Lesia Gerasimyuk received Diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Roman Karpyuk was honoured with a Diploma of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports of Ukraine; Associate Professor Stepan Borysiuk and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Volodymyr Druchyk gained the titles “Honoured Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine”; Associate Professor Stepan Borysiuk, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Roman Karpyuk, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Volodymyr Khodinov and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Volodymyr Druchyk gained the title “Honoured Coach of Ukraine”; Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Hanna Kolesnik was rewarded with the title “Honoured Doctor of Ukraine”; Yuriy Kostyuk received the title “Honourable Master of Sports of Ukraine”.
For conscientious work and significant personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists, fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity, the Academy staff members were repeatedly awarded with the letters of commendation and certificates of appreciations of the Regional Council, Regional State Administration, the City Council, the Department of Education, Science and Youth of Volyn Regional State Administration.
Our Academy provides all the needed facilities for the students’ education and training: powerful material and technical base, classrooms and laboratories of physical rehabilitation and functional diagnostics, information and analytical activities, computer classes, modern scientific library, law clinic, sports facilities, gyms, dining room and a psychological support service.
Anyone in need can get a free qualified legal assistance or a psychological consultation on the base of “Law Clinic” and “Psychological Support Service” of the Academy.
Our higher education institution has all the conditions for meaningful students’ leisure: different excursions, themed holidays, concerts, poetry contests, competitions, debates, battles and charity events. Student regularly provide assistance during the sports tournaments and public events on voluntary basis. Active students have the opportunity to show and develop their skills at our Academy and the administration of the Academy always supports talented students and encourages them to develop their abilities.
One of the priority activities of the Academy of Recreational Technologies and Law is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle not only among students and Academy staff, but also among the inhabitants of the city in general. The Academy operates sports sections, which are gladly attended by students and lecturers, such as: shaping, table tennis, athletics, volleyball, basketball, football, chess and others.
